Croatia

In what now seems to be the Eurovision Song Contest Semi-Final of songs sang by women, the croation entry seems determined not to break that pattern with Nina Badrić singing Nebo.

I’m a little bit worried that by this point in the semi-final I will be bored of yet another female vocalist, however this video utilises one of my favourite Eurovision costume staple- adding floaty fabrics which stretch out from a dress. Also white dresses really seem to be a thing this year.

I thought it might all floaty fabrics (I was almost right) and then this happened though.

Well hello there! Surely we don’t need ropes to play stringed instruments. This mixed in with the odd barely clothed men trampolining just made the video a whole lot more interesting, sadly I don’t think they will be able to recreate this in performance though. Also it’s kinda odd, just watch that falling at 1.40 in the video.

On another note, I’m not sure burning music gives the right impression for a song contest.

Nina Badrić will perform 10th in semi-final 2 on the 24th May 2012.

Floaty fabrics and trampolines,

txx

Me too, it would be nice to see Croatia back in the finals again this year. It just worries me a little that depending on the performance it might get a little forgotten in the run of female vocalists in the middle of that semi-final.

Sooooo any thoughts?
